Post-Separation Violence

This article is a good review of why it is not always the best choice to address separation through the courts, particularly if there is the threat of violence. Alternative Dispute Resolution processes which include support from Family Relations Professionals can often be a better way to go. Collaborative Practice Ottawa is a sponsor of the High Conflict Forum in Ottawa and we have Family Relations Professionals in our group that can help support families through separation even where there has been violence or threats of violence.
