CAROL COCHRANE

Carol brings to her Family Law practice more than twenty-five years of experience in the negotiation of domestic contracts and the resolution of the challenging issues that arise when a relationship breaks down: custody, access, support and property equalization. Complimenting her representation of clients from all walks of life, Carol is often relied upon by counsel in the Eastern Ontario region to serve as mediator, settlement facilitator and arbitrator by reason of her expertise and proficiency in the field of Family Law. Carol currently serves as a co-managing partner of Low Murchison Radnoff.

Carol regularly demonstrates her dynamic presentation skills outside of the courtroom, serving as a lecturer and instructor with the Canadian Bar Association, Carleton County Law Association, Carleton University, Algonquin College and the Ottawa Board of Education. She provides pro bono legal services through her affiliation with REACH and was awarded its inaugural Volunteer Lawyer of the Year Award in 2005. Carol currently serves as Co-Chair of the Ottawa Association of Family Law Arbitrators, and Counsel to the National Capital Area Crime Stoppers organization. Carol also serves as Co-chair of the Lawyer Play Committee and has been on the stage in the Annual Lawyer Play with the Great Canadian Theatre Company since 2007.

Carol is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, Carleton County Law Association, Ottawa Association of Family Law Arbitrators and the ADR Institute of Ontario.
